The Otago Taieri Agricultural & Pastoral Society came into existence on 31 July 1997 when the Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Association and the Taieri Agricultural and Pastoral Society amalgamated. At home on the edge of Mosgiel’s Taieri Plains, we are not far from Dunedin. The Taieri Agricultural Park encompasses the Society’s grounds and buildings which together and separately accommodate a wide range of activities.

Since our amalgamation we have become one of the largest A&P shows on the Southern District Calendar and attract a wide range of people to our event both urban based from Dunedin City and country people from the rural outskirts of Dunedin. We attract many out of town exhibitors, and have a great interaction of town and country.

Having staged 160 shows between Otago and Taieri combined, the Otago Taieri A&P Society is one of the oldest A&Ps in the country. We have a superb mix of heritage and progress.

This is a well organised and recognised annual event, involving people from all walks of life. A committee of 30 plus volunteers with many more helpers runs the show and we currently have a membership of 350.  We promote agricultural & pastoral interests in industries connected with agriculture generally. We also promote excellence in stock and produce.
